Beretta 9mm 1 Pool 1R damage each strike. If bearer has another Beretta 9mm, this gun inflicts 2R damage each strike, with an optional maneuver each combat. (a minion may only use one Beretta 9mm to maneuver each round). Maybe it愀 because I惴 stupid, new to the game, or maybe because English is not my native language, but I cannot see the point of this card. .44 Magnum costs the same as 2 of these cards and gives you the same benefits, but with only one equip action... And to make it worse, Saturday Night Special also costs 1 pool and gives you 1R damage and an optional maneuver each combat. Please explain the utility of this card to a newbie player

[ quoted text not captured ] Just that after taking the two equip actions (or concealed/disguised/ whatever), in the standard case, you can use the second gun's maneuver in a subsequent round. In essence, the two guns together become a .44 Magnum except you get an extra free maneuver that can't be used until a subsequent round. Then there's a few odd special case things that come up, like being able to use Black Cat's saving twice when equipping with two Berrettas and having the Ghoul Retainer shoot the other Berretta if its minion has two (both for 2R damage). All in all, it doesn't strike me as being very usable. I suppose you could increase the number of concealed weapon cards in your deck along with the number of Berettas resulting in greater synergy between the two combo cards. But, as a guess without having tried it, it just doesn't seem worth having to draw twice the number and equip (somehow) twice to gain its benefits. Fred

Jack of Both Sides works with both the Beretta and the Ghoul Retainer. Not sure that helps *too* much, but getting the assault rifle effect for significantly less pool (with Jack or Black Cat), and two of the damage is not from your strike, so it's not prevented by Skin of Steel, etc. John

Or we both can. Mmmmm... 8 Agg damage... 4 of it's environmental... Still, even 2 normal + 4 agg will burn a vamp with 4 or less blood, and that second beretta is MUCH easier to keep replacing than a magnum or AR.

Mmmmm... 8 Agg damage... 4 of it's environmental... 4 normal and 4 agg. DBR only adds two agg, it doesn't convert the base damage to agg. 2 normal / 2 agg strike damage plus 2 normal / 2 agg environmental -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. The Beretta 9mm seems like a beautifully balanced card to me. Besides everything that I've seen mentioned in this thread, also consider Canine Hordes, Fast Hands, Anarch Troublemaker, etc. You are much less vulnerable to those cards, because you're investing your pool incrementally. This card is well designed! Ira

A Ghoul Retainer inflicts one damage (at close range). Or it can use a weapon the employer is not using. If that weapon is one of two (or more) Berettas that the employer has, for example, the Ghoul will inflict 2R damage. You quote only the sig? That's new. -- [ quoted text not captured ]
