If a vampire equiped with Talbots Chainsaw is tapped at the start of your turn is he still considered ready and does 3 damae to yourself? --

>Tapped/Untapped has nothing to do with being Ready. Any controlled >vampire not in torpor is "Ready", so yes. My group and I always considered this to be misworded card and played it like the word ready was replaced with untapped. If a vampire had TC, then it couldn't hunt and had to attack every round in order to fulfill it's blood lust (therefore if it didn't attack an opponent, then it attacked anybody near by). I'd play the Chainsaw with that rule! Can i come over sometime? -prophet ============================================================================== The above opinions are not mine, I have been forced to repeat them by the man holding the gun to my head. The fact that _I_ am holding the gun makes no difference. I am absolved of all responsibility.

No, it's worse. The idea is that TC is cursed and you're taking the devil by the tail to use it. It gives a really nice advantage, but the cost is dear. | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "Carnivores, oy!" -- Timon, TLK

It might be considered that, but the curse really comes from not being able to hunt and preventing one damage doesn't help alot when they try to kill off the minion holding TC. The prevent one damage ability only applies in combat. You can still do the 3 points of untap phase damage all to the minion holding the TC. [ quoted text not captured ]
