I have a question about Directed Actions. If I rescue a vampire controlled by another Methuselah from torpor, that is clearly a Directed Action and cannot be attempted by my Aabbt Kindred (without Nefertiti). Can I attempt to rescue a vampire I control from torpor using Aabbt Kindred? Please explain. - Jason Bell

[ quoted text not captured ] If you take an action that is normally (D)irected, but targeting something you control, the action becomes undirected. It is not the *types* of actions that Aabbt Kindred are forbidden from, it's the location of the targets. -- Pat Ricochet Soul Jar'rn Fool of Atlanta

[ quoted text not captured ] Right. See 6.2.2 and 6.5.3 for clarification. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to revised rulebook, rulings, errata, and tournament rules: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/

I did, but it was not quite enough clarification. I've got it now though. The reason it was giving me such a hard time was because of Rampage: (D) Burn any location. If you choose a location you control, this is a +1 stealth action. (The Jyhad card is even more confusing) With no entry on the rulings/errata/clarification page, I assumed that Rampage remained a directed action even when targeting your own locations, but that such directed actions have +1 stealth and can be blocked by predator and prey. So, I thereafter concluded that all directed actions, when targeting your own area, were +1 stealth, blockable by predator and prey, but remained directed actions. That's how my brain worked it. Now I know better. Thanks. - Jason Bell
