Can the renegade garou acquire Pier 13, Port of Baltimore by paying two
life?
If not, i suppose the phrasing of the card to enable Minions and not just
vampires to use it means that it could be transferred to him/her via a
disputed territory or Dominate Kine. Interesting idea, i think.
On that subject, can i recruit an ally on my turn and then, still during
my minion phase, do a disputed territory to move Pier 13 PoB to that
Ally? In other words, must a minion be ready to be a valid target for
acquiring stuff via disputed territory? Further, if one of my minions
already controls a piece of Loquipment can i use a disputed territory to
move it to a different minion i control? Or must i first move it to
another Methuselah's control and then get it back?

I sure hope not; the cards are pretty explicit when they can use life to
pay for blood costs (i.e. Blood Brother Ambush)

Well, just like making sure we take the edge when we bleed, and other
things even the good players are sloppy about, this wouldn't be an issue if
we'd actually follow the pedantic rules. The ally isn't supposed to be in
your active region. The ally is, by the rules, to be placed into your
inactive region, face up, and only entered into your ready region at the end
of your influence phase. It's corner-cutting we all understand that brings
up questions like this. Bad players, us, bad players.

Well, it's being moved in an "ambigious fashion," so under the
loquipment rulings, it would seem you now "re-own" the card, and can put it
where you want. Tricky, though. This analogy to having to wait for someone
to steal the Rack to be able to move it is strong, but I think it fails
here. For that matter, can't you use disputed territory to do the same
thing to the Rack? (in one motion, from self to self, not two)

Whoops! Can all that:
Transferring Locquipment via Disputed Territory to the *same* Methuselah
that currently controls the locquipment results in no effect - the
locquipment cannot be moved to a different minion of the same Methuselah.

You must move it and move it back. However, the Succubus Club would
allow you to do this within a single untap phase. (obviously, they'd need
something else, like a pool or something, or a guarantee that you won't
actually rush them, like you were contemplating doing.)

That struck me too as the best way forward, shortly after i had completed
the original post. With the renegade garou it is easy. You just pick the
player on the table who is going to suffer most from a visit by the Hairy
Fellow, and make them an offer they canna refuse.

Does the by-line mean you are still playing your Tournament Losing deck,
patrick? i thought that was one of the funniest as well as best and most
creative decks i saw in America. People here were very excited when they
heard about the idea, though i don't think anyone here has yet tried to
copy your idea.

You could even sweeten the deal by agreeing not to rush for two, or even
three whole turns! Just long enough for him to get the whole load of
goodies from St. Nick down at the Pier.

Every now and again; I still haven't taken it apart, and most every deck
built since has a Change of Target or two. Also, I've ousted too many
people since the tournament with it to avoid the bulls-eye when I play it,
so I'm letting it rest and lose it's reputation. No, recently I've been
trying to make Torment the Soul worth the paper it's printed on. I'm hoping
Final Nights might address this, but in the mean time I'm taking the
challenge.
Best idea I've had so far (not a *good* idea, but the most fun so far)
is Ambrosius getting Ghoul Retainers for say, Rafael, who can use the
celerity to press, maneuver next round, and then whip out a Disguised RPG
for Jeeves to hold, so when he Torments their Soul, they take 6 normal and 1
agg. Soul Stealing if it actually works, of course.
Of course, you're better off with CEL/obf guys and just paying for the
retainers, and you can disguise out the RPG and the SNS to Dragon's Breath
rounds with for the extra agg (7 normal and 2 agg!). Built that one, too.
Think both decks have gotten the combo off once a game. The latter deck is
more reliable, but it's not Giovanni, so I'm still tweaking the first.

I was thinking about this whole "get the Pier 13 on to a Renegade
Garou" thing earlier, and was wondering if you could do it with the aid
of a Malkavian TIme Auction!!!
Just think "I am putting up my Pier 13 for auction"
Everyone bids some lovely pool (yummy!)
Then you Disputed Territory, and put it back on your Garou
Of course, this works on teh basis of having a Malk / Gangrel deck, but
I'm sure you can work out the somantics...

Which isn't that big of a problem, right?? Zebulon and Gregor do have
Protean, and a muddled vampire is pretty hefty together with his K9
buddy.
Actually the malks could hidden lurker after a succesfull Rush action
and poke for finish...
Funny..:)

I was working on a "I can't believe it's not Gangrel" deck, with loads
of non Gangrels with Protean in - I may post it later. Yes, Zebulon and
(I think) Gregor was in it.
It does rely on the other players bidding at all!
Can another meth bid "0 pool" and take control of a card in this way? I
mean, it is a bid, and if successful, it is the highest bid, right?
LSJ?

Wouldn't it just be easier to use a Succubus Club? You make a deal to give it
to someone and that person later give it back to you. And if they renege on the
deal and keep it, you can always Dispute it back!

No. A "bid" of zero is not a bid - it is a "pass".
MTA says the Meth may bid pool - bidding no pool is not bidding pool.
If all other Meth's pass (or bid zero pool), the player who played
MTA keeps the item up for auction.

I always thought that two Disputed Territories would work more easily.

What happens if all but one Methuselah pass? The card indicates that the
auctioning Meth gets the highest two bids...
Would it be just the highest bid then, or would the auction fail? I'm
thinking the former, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Yes, she gets the highest bid and the highest bid gets the card.
