Hi! My question is: Do I have to show what political card I have when I call a vote? Or it's enough to put it on the table with its face down? It will be terrible if I have to show the card, cause I think that will make the political decks get very weaker. That's it! Thanks to all! I'm not actually this suspicious, but I can imagine that a number of your fellow players might actually want to verify that it was indeed a political action card that you are tossing down, and not, say Computer Hacking that's taking up hand space. So...you had probably better show it... Xian -- "you can just ignore it....and let hand jam sort them out." -Jasper Phillips [ quoted text not captured ]

I'm not going to tell you what it is at the moment, but you'll all really, really like it... Trust me." How can anyone be expected to vote on something that they know absolutely nothing about. (Just going off on a tangent here, this actually seems remarkably like what Pauline Hanson tried to do at the recent Australian election - she doesn't like talking to the media (because they all just laugh at her stupidity) and thus only those few people that went to her policy(?) speaches actually new anything about what she was trying to do.) Oh well, maybe there are some situations where playing a vote card face down is beneficial - like, when you know there is no way possible that you could win it and just want to try and sneak it through (Just kidding). You folks are being way too nasty to the poor guy. The idea is not crazy. I assume the idea is not that players *vote* without the card being revealed, but rather that they decide whether or not to block without knowing the precise terms. You can stop him from getting to the podium and calling the vote, but until he gets there, you don't know what he is going to say. The idea is that, during the opportunity to block, you only know that a vote is being called..not what vote it is. This idea is probably inspired by the actual V:tES rule that the "terms" of the vote are not revealed until the referendum. The idea is quite playable as a houserule. It similar to making "calling a vote" a cardless action, with actual PA card not required until the referendum. I'm not advocating this, merely pointing out that the guy did not deserve to be flamed.
