Hi maybe i'm doubleposting or asking dumb question but i will be dumb rather once that for rest of my life :D strange situation happens yesterday during one of our casual games. i have influenced out 2 vampires (2cap and 1 cap). one of them was anarch convert. i uset convert per his special to make other infuelced vampire anarch. the i chosen to see a new one for convers. new one vampire was 2 cap so i have used dreams and PB: Monteral. this placed 2 counters on this vampire and here comes questions... 1 - As i still have 1 spare transfer from my influence phase can i use it after convert pops out and i use his special? i believe answer is now but asking just to be sure... 2 - will that 2 cap with 2 counters from montreal ans dreams jump out from uncontroled as well or i have missed the right moment (as before i already poped out 2 vampires)? 3 - After using convert's special can i use dreams and PB (or some other effects)? Rulebook partialy 7: At the end of your influence phase, any vampire in your uncontrolled region with a number of blood counters on him equal to (or more than) his capacity becomes controlled. The vampire is turned face up and moved to the ready region, untapped. The counters are kept on him to represent his blood (counters in excess of his capacity drain off immediately as usual). Other types of crypt cards are handled similarly. Anarch Convert Clan: Caitiff (group 0) Capacity: 1 Powers (Disciplines): Independent. Anarch: When the convert enters play, you may remove him from the game to make a non-titled vampire you control anarch and either gain 1 pool or draw a card from your crypt. Dreams of the Sphinx Type: Master Cost: 1 pool Unique master. Put this card in play. Put a counter on this card each time you tap it. When the third counter is added, burn this card. Tap this card to get +2 hand size until the end of the current turn. Tap during your untap phase to gain an additional pool if you have the Edge. Tap to move a blood from the bank to a vampire in your uncontrolled region. Powerbase: Montreal Type: Master Master: unique location. During your influence phase, you may move 1 blood from the blood bank to a vampire in your uncontrolled region. Any vampire may steal this location for his or her controller as a (D) action.

The card texts and rulebook quote already answer your own question. New minions come into play 'at the end' of your influence phase. Montreal and Dreams can be used 'during' your influence phase. Transfers are spent 'during' your influence phase. Once the Convert comes into play, the window to make more transfers or use Montreal or Dreams is closed. So no problem there. And I don't think these are dumb questions. :-) > 1 - As i still have 1 spare transfer from my influence phase can i use > it after convert pops out and i use his special? i believe answer is > now but asking just to be sure... No, you can't; minions only move from uncontrolled to controlled after you declare you're done with transfers and otherwise ending your influence phase. (Things triggering on them coming into play don't change that.) > 2 - will that 2 cap with 2 counters from montreal ans dreams jump out > from uncontroled as well or i have missed the right moment (as before > i already poped out 2 vampires)? He'll still pop out. In fact, you're not allowed to *not* pop him out, actually. Once you're done transferring, minions come into play from the uncontrolled one at a time, in whatever order you want, and you resolve their effects as they come into play. > 3 - After using convert's special can i use dreams and PB (or some > other effects)? I think so, since you're still in the influence phase, but I believe (not sure) you'd be past the "check and bring out minions" step at that point, so even if it pushed a minion over you wouldn't do so. Not 100% sure, though. (You could use Dreams during your discard phase or whatever, though, since that's not limited to influence phase, last I checked.) - D.J.

"No" is correct. The Influence phase has two parts: the main and the end. [RTR 08- AUG-08] See http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/480724df2fd804f1 for complete details. > 2 - will that 2 cap with 2 counters from montreal ans dreams jump out > from uncontroled as well or i have missed the right moment (as before > i already poped out 2 vampires)? Cannot use Montreal, since it is "during your influence phase", and that time has passed. Could use Dreams, though. So if it's a 1-cap, it could then fill up from the Dreams and come out. > 3 - After using convert's special can i use dreams and PB (or some > other effects)? You can use unrestricted effects like Dreams. You cannot use "during your Influence phase" effects like PB:Montreal. [ quoted text not captured ]

I'd misread this - I'd thought the hypothetical was that his counters had already been on him and you'd opted to resolve him until after the AC or something. Disregard. Seeing LSJ's answer cleared up my confusion about the question. > > 3 - After using convert's special can i use dreams and PB (or some > > other effects)? > > I think so, since you're still in the influence phase, but I believe > (not sure) you'd be past the "check and bring out minions" step at > that point, so even if it pushed a minion over you wouldn't do so. > Not 100% sure, though.
