You could even play "Malkavian Dementia" to steal someone's Malkavian for a turn, use it to bring your own Muddled Vampire Hunter into play, and then let the Malkavian you stole revert back to its owner. No problem. (My favorate use of "Malkavian Dementia" -- steal a Malkavian, then have your other vamp "take equipment from another vamp you control" to strip it of weapons before returning it.) Anyone can feed from any of the hunting grounds I've seen so far (uptown [ventrue], war zone [brujah] and zoo [gangrel]). >#2: I have Army of Rats in play (cause your prey to lose 1 pool during your > untap phase). This is a kick-ass card. >#3: Someone sort of asked my politics question already (does a vampire need to > be untapped to toss in vote cards / if so, does it tap to do so...). No tapping is involved. -- Doug DeJulio ddj@zardoz.elbows.org

I don't think this is right. Somewhere around the same paragraph where it refers to bringing the card out, it also says that only a vampire of that clan may use the card. (We were actually playing it backwards to you -- could be brought out at any time, but only clan could use -- both are actually requirements!) Unfortunately, I do not have my rulebook here, or I would quote chapter and verse. (And if I'm wrong, I would appreciate a similar quote -- oh, for on-line rules!) Tim -- Timothy Binder (techno@netaxs.com) (techno@cyber.com) Phila. SF Society (PSFS) -- Philcon 94 Committee (dj &tc.) As a lark, we decided to do parodies of the Multics environment. We looked at Multics and designed the new system to be as complex and cryptic as possible to maximize casual users' frustration levels, calling it Unix as a parody of the Multics, as well as other more risque allusions. -- Ken Thompson, UnixWorld Software Development Forum

This is the portion of Section 7.2 of the corrected rules you're thinking of: "The clan symbol appears in the cost on certain master cards. You can only play that master card if you have a ready . . . member of that clan. A clan symbol may also appear on certain minion cards. If this is the case, only vampires of that clan may use the cards." The restriction on vampires refers only to minion cards. -- Eric Amick eamick@clark.net Columbia, MD

You can >only play that master card if you have a READY member of that clan. > I think what's confusing Tim is the next sentence: "A clan symbol may also appear on certain minion cards. If this is the case, only vampires of that clan may use the cards." So... Kindred Intelligence: minion card, can only be used by Nosferatu. Slum Hunting Ground: master card, need a ready Nos. to bring into play, no restrictions on use. Labyrinth: master card, need a Nos. to play, *plus* the text of the card says it only affects Nos., therefore it is restricted (and a good thing, too...)
