To All,
I was sitting in a cold, dark place when this variant potence Rush deck
idea came to me. It will suffer, as all potence decks do, against damage
prevention, and in an overly fast (bleed, vote) environment wherein it
doesn't get early table control... Anyway, here it is, in glorious ELDB
format
Deck name: The Amputator
Created by: R. David Zopf
Description: A fun theme variant of a stock weenie potence deck. Do more
damage than your opponent, then start pulling off appendages. Cackle madly,
and often ;-)
Crypt: (12 cards)
1 Agatha (Nosferatu Antitribu, 4, ob PO)
1 Cameron (Lasombra, 2, ot)
1 Dre, Leader of the Cold Dawn (Brujah, 3, ce po)
1 Duck (Nosferatu, 3, ob po)
1 Hasina Kesi (Caitiff, 1, po)
1 Hector Sosa (Brujah, 4, PO pr)
1 Hugo (Brujah Antitribu, 4, PO pr vi)
1 Jacob Bragg (Brujah Antitribu, 3, ce po)
1 Jimmy Dunn (Pander, 4, CE fo PO)
1 KoKo (Nosferatu, 2, po)
1 Lupo (Brujah, 2, po)
1 Tommy (Nosferatu Antitribu, 3, an po)
Library: (90 cards)
2 Blood Doll
10 Bum's Rush
2 Death of My Conscience, The
8 Decapitate
8 Disarm
3 Haven Uncovered
12 Immortal Grapple
5 Increased Strength
5 Mighty Grapple
1 Pentex(TM) Loves You!
3 Potence
6 Pulled Fangs
4 Pushing the Limit
8 Taste of Vitae
5 Thrown Sewer Lid
8 Undead Strength
A few choice pieces of equipment (Meat Cleaver, etc.) would enhance the
theme, but possibly detract from its playability. Thoughts on making either
the theme or the operation of this deck better would be appreciated.

Looks good. Highest capacity is 4.

Isn't the minimum capacity to use this card 6 by card text?

Gas Powered Chainsaw and Talbot's Chainsaw would be other good
equipment choices. Toss in a couple Giovanni weenies and add
Ambrosius? Ambrosius, afterall, is merely a skeleton of his
former self. :)

Erhmm... Good point. Replace with 2 Distractions (I keep threatening to
add a line to my *.sig: "This Deck Could Benefit from Some Card Cycling"
:-)
snip balance of deck

Hee hee! I like that angle... Bring out an ally representative of former
victims. Or, add the Succubus Club, and bribe people into paying the
Ferryman to keep their vamps out of Stygia :-)
What to remove without having the whole thing fall over, though...
Maybe switch to the brothers Giovanni (Mario and Christofero, both 3 pot
nec), removing Cameron and Duck. Take out the Pulled Fangs (since you're
going for the whole head, anyway ;-) and put in two Ambrosius, two Meat
Cleavers, and two Talbot's Chainsaw... Yeah, that sounds fun <grin>

Note: None of your vampires will ever be able to play one of your
"Death of My Conscience" cards, since it requires a vampire with
capacity above 5 (unless you're counting on other players' excess
skill cards coming your way, a lot :-)
Even your
> 3 Potence
won't do the trick for your crypt.
