This came up in Tortured Confession: Boston: Can Marciana Giovanni be tapped for her special ability while in torpor? I ruled "yes", as there was nothing in the card text that stated she must be ready. - Ben Peal, Prince of Boston fu...@mindstorm.com

Interesting. So, theoretically, if a vampire had a tap ability that gave +1 stealth to another minion's action, would that be usable by that vampire in torpor, or would that be considered an action modifier and fall under the same rule as Cloak? - Jason Bell

[ quoted text not captured ] Special abilities don't care about torpor unless they say so. Marcianna's special doesn't make any reference about her being "ready". Some theoretical vampire could be designed to do the same with stealth, or it could be designed to be usable when ready. Special abilities are not action modifiers. [ quoted text not captured ]
