Looking at this card, it says "Inflicts aggravated hand damage with each strike". Now, the damage is obviously not 'hand damage' since it is a weapon and as such is 'weapon damage'. However, my question: is the amount of damage inflicted the same amount as the vampire's base strength? For example, would a vamp with 1 HD inflict 1 agg (weapon) damage using the SD and a vamp with +1 HD inflict 2 agg (weapon) damage? Or does the SD just do 1 agg (weapon) damage period? a0 --- I told the priest - don't count on any second coming. God got his ass kicked the first time he came down here slumming. He had the balls to come, the gall to die and then forgive us. No, I don't wonder why, I wonder what he thought it would get us -- Concrete Blonde -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

It inflicts "strength" damage (aggravated) with each strike. The card was printed in the days when "strength" was referred to as "hand damage", hence the wording. A vamp with +1 strength (which is also stated in card text with terms like "+1 hand damage", since they were also printed when "strength" was called "hand damage"), would inflict 2 agg damage with the Dagger. -- L.
