Corrupt Construction
Type: Ally
Requires: Vicissitude
Cost: 1 pool
Ghoul with 1 life. 0 strength, 0 bleed.
[vic] When the Construction enters play, you may remove from the game
any number of ally, retainer, or vampire cards from your ash heap or
hand. The Construction gains one life for each card removed in that
way. The Construction gets +1 strength for each life counter it has.
During your untap phase, the Construction burns 1 life.
[VIC] As above, and the Construction has an additional life
It's this part I was thinking over.
"you may remove from the game any number of ally, retainer, or vampire
cards from your ash heap or hand."
Ally and Retainer are pretty obvious but I was a little stumped on
vampire cards. So when I burn "vampire cards" are these:-
a) Vampire Crypt cards already in my ashheap.
Or
b) Vampire Cards in general, i.e. anything in my ashheap with a green
back can be removed?
Or
c) I completely missed the boat and am reading nothing into something.

IANLSJ, but a combination of A) and C).
AFAIK, B) doesn't exist in the game terms at all. It's just a card
back.
A) because they Vampires in the Ash pile.
C) because the boat has sailed out of the harbour on you on this one...

Nope... According to the rulebook those are call minion cards.
1.6.3. Minion Cards
Minion cards are cards that your vampires and allies (collectively
referred to as "minions") play.

The first one is right on the button. The second one couldn't even see
the boat. =D

Sure.

I would guess "no way", although your question made me wonder if
vampire-creating cards, such as The Embrace, could qualify.
I'd still say no, since those only become vampires when in play.

Correct. And why would "vampire" mean only the green-backed cards to
the exclusion of the amber-backed ones?

Correct.

Actually, green backs are Library cards, which can be Minion, Master or
Event cards.

You would dishonor yourself and lol by loling when not laughing out
loud? Infidel.
