Errata to Charming Lobby says: This card requires three vampires to be effective: one to play Charming Lobby, another to call the first vote, and the third to call the second vote. Only votes which are successfully called apply. [RTR 950413] So I cannot play CL, freak drive and call the first vote with the same vamp? By the way: Charming Lobby might be THE card for weeny presence vote decks to get the first permanent votes passed... In the first 2-3 turns this card might be the difference between total vote domination for the rest of the game and the complete failure of the deck (in the worst case of other hostile voters) It is not overly useful, but this could be a good reason to put it in a deck (about the only reason). What do you think? Michael Beer

Perhaps three vampire _actions_ would be more accurate wording >By the way: Charming Lobby might be THE card for weeny presence vote >decks to get the first permanent >votes passed... I think Cryptic Rider still outweighs it in usefulness. As an action modifier, it allows you to chain vote as nauseam with weenies. Each Charming Lobby, by comparison, takes an extra action, which you have to do ahead of time. This also encourages blocking of the first vote you call, thus risking that the effect will be lost. I see your points, but it's still an disciplined, weaker version of a Cryptic Rider, and thus wood pulp... Regards, R. David Zopf guenh...@mindspring.com Atom Weaver & V:EKN Prince of Boston

The ruling merely tells you how to read the ambiguous Jyhad text, and the newer Vampire text matches the ruling, albeit in a clearer way: If this action is successful, and the next vote you call this turn passes, then the next vote thereafter passes automatically. -- L.
