Figuring out cardlists

I'm poking about the cardlists on the white wolf site, and I'm having some troubles figuring out what different parts mean. I've figured out the Disciplines, card types, cost, expansion, etc. My difficulty is with some of the card texts. Is text in <> errata? For example: ----------------- Aggressive Tactics (Sabbat) 2 pool -- Sabbat -- Master Master. Put this card in play and choose a Methuselah. The chosen <Methuselah's hand size is reduced by one>. This card may be burned by any vampire as <a> (D) action. ---------------- It's unclear. The <a> (D) action looks like it, but the earlier section looks more like a parenthetical. Another example: ---------------------- Anarch Revolt (Jyhad, V:TES) Master Master. Put this card in play. Each Methuselah burns 1 pool during his or her untap phase. Any vampire can burn this card with a successful <referendum>; calling this <referendum> is a +1 stealth <political> action. --------------------- Archon (Jyhad, V:TES) Political Action Political Card-Worth 1 Vote. Called by any Prince or Justicar at +1 stealth. Choose a vampire. Successful <referendum> makes the vampire an Archon. <An> Archon may enter combat with another vampire <controlled by another Methuselah> as a +1 stealth <(D)> action. <Any vampire> attempting to block <an> Archon burns 1 blood. <A Blood Hunt cannot be called on an Archon>. [Any vampire can remove these abilities with a successful referendum; calling that referendum is a +1 stealth political action]. ------------------------- What do the [] mean? the <>? Thanks

The [] are for rulings. (resolutions of ambiguity in card text) The {} are for errata. (functional changes to card text) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
