1. IS this the jyhad newsgroup....????
2. If not what is it??
3. Can you mail me a Jyhad rarity list?? -- I have no FTP access
4. A question..... -- Could u forward it u cant answer it here
My predator is bleeding me wiht his Toreador.
I block with my Gangrel.
Since he is the acting Methuselah, I ask him to choose range & strike
first.
He is fine with short range, so am I.
He says "For my strike, Ill punch ya", thus choosing hand damage for his
strike.
I play Wolf Claws and punch back.
Here is where the dispute begins.
He maintains that he can now play a strike: Dodge card.
I say because he already chose a strike, he is stuck with it, unless he
uses a Blur or something.
Please mail a reply... I am dialing in at 2400 baud and it really laggggs
Thanks a bunch....

No. :-) Try rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad, for Jyhad-specific
questions and discussion.

Check r.g.t-c.j. I think there's a list posted relatively frequently.

Once the strike is declared, he has to stick with it. If he uses Blur,
he'll get additional strikes (if he isn't in torpor first :-). But
he is still bound by his choice for the first strike.
You can actually be even sneakier. Wolf Claws isn't a strike card; it is
a strike modifier. You can declare a strike with hands normally, and
then play the Wolf Claws when you're resolving the strike. This is
a standard tactic if you are the attacker and are declaring your strike
first.
Moral of the story - Gangrel are best kept at long range. ;-)

I'll mail this reply, as well as post it.

Jyhad is covered by rec.games.deckmaster, but when this group goes away
(or even before then), you will want to look for rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad

I don't seem to have one online; try mailing questions@wizards.com

This is not correct. He already decided that his strike would be
innate hand damage, and can't change his mind. If he wanted to dodge,
he should have dodged.
