Hi I have a couple of questions regarding Jyhad for Tom Wylie or anyone: 1) My opponent had a Renagade Garou in play. The text on the card says that "Garou can attack a minion as a (D) action....". My opponent wanted to attack one of my _tapped_ vampires. Can he do this? Could my tapped vampire defend itself? 2) One of my vampires is in combat with an ally of my opponent (let's say the Garou, for continuity). My vampire is armed with a stake. The stake says "If more than one damage is inflicted by the stake in a combat, the victim is paralyzed. If this is the case the stake is given to the victim." Can I use the stake against the ally. If I do two damage with the stake (say i have a press card) is the ally paralyzed? What happens to a paralyzed ally? 3) One of the players in the game has aqquired "Curse of Nitocris". What happens to the card if the player is ousted from the game before he has the chance to pass the curse on? Does the card go the ash-heap of the player to whome the card belongs, or to the ash-heap of the last player to be in control of it? Thanks. Special effects work only against vampires because that is the nature of vampirism. Aggravated damage is normal damage against allies/retainers. Paralysis sends the victim to torpor. Non-vampires do not go to torpor. Rotschreck is a psychological condition which afflicts vampires in the Masquerade rules - (even though some might dispute it - we play it only on vampires). Think about it. What would a wooden stake do to an Arms Dealer? Nothing special. > 3) One of the players in the game has aqquired "Curse of Nitocris". >What happens to the card if the player is ousted from the game before he >has the chance to pass the curse on? Using the Garou, Wynn, a Bum's Rush, and so on allows you to attack any ready minion/vampire, even if that minion is tapped. The tapped minion can defend itself in the resulting combat; creatures tap to act or to block, not to enter combat. > 2) One of my vampires is in combat with an ally of my opponent (let's >say the Garou, for continuity). I think a paralyze strike just does normal damage if used against an ally (so Rowan Ring is useless against such), but I have not receive confirmation of that. > 3) One of the players in the game has aqquired "Curse of Nitocris". >What happens to the card if the player is ousted from the game before he >has the chance to pass the curse on? When you're ousted from the game, all the cards you own are burned, and go to your ash heap, regardless of where those cards are at the time. Note that the owner of the Curse is always its controller, even though others are deciding where it moves to next.
