A careful reading of Shilmulo Deception: Name: Shilmulo Deception [FN:C2] Cardtype: Reaction Discipline: Chimerstry [chi] Only usable when a minion you control successfully blocks (play before combat). Not usable if the blocking minion played any *reaction cards* that this vampire could not play. Do not tap the blocking minion; tap this reacting vampire instead. Now this vampire is the blocking vampire (and combat begins as normal). [CHI] As above, and this vampire gets an optional maneuver during the first round of the resulting combat. N.B. Reaction CARDS not EFFECTS seems to indicate that you can play reaction cards at SUPERIOR with one minion then Shilmmy across to another who could have played them at INFERIOR. (as well as using ambient intercept on the original one -sport bike, Winthrop etc). Is this right? (I'm sure it will get challenged if I do it so better to check in advance ;-) -- I always lie. In the likely event of this not being the case I'm making it up! Have fun!

Or no you can't use 'ambient' intercept/effects either?

While technically true, you do get the illusion of getting to use the ambient effects, since Shilmulo Deception is played after the block succeeds (after the original blocking minion, using his ambient intercept, succeeded in blocking the action). Clearly, ambient intercept effects (Sport Bike, etc.) are not reaction cards that the deceptor could not play. [ quoted text not captured ]

I like that jsutification -there's something beautifully Ravnos about it ;-) > Clearly, ambient intercept effects (Sport Bike, etc.) are not reaction cards > that the deceptor could not play. True. Reading the card I would have said that a card the deceptor could play was just as clearly a card that he could play but apparently it meant reaction card _effects_ so I thought I'd better check ;-P -- I'm making it up!. In the likely event of this not being the case I'm probably lying. Have fun!
