I want to make sure this works. I have Anson, equipped with an Ivory Bow and
dragging along the Ghoul Retainer. If he gets into combat, and he uses his
hands while the Ghoul Retainer uses the Ivory Bow, Rotschreck can't be played
because it says "...when a minion attempts to use aggravated damage..." and
the Ghoul Retainer is a retainer, not a minion. Is this right?

Rotschreck only affects vampires, yes.

It wouldn't conflict with the card text if the RTR were correct and the
"minion" dealing the aggravated damage wasn't going to torpor, but rather
the receiving "vampire" did. Yet another reason why the ruling on
Rötschreck sucks. :-)

Actually, card text has Rotschrek only effecting Vampires, who were
about to recieve agg damage. The erata to cause it to work the other way (and
no longer have anything to do with Rotschrek, from V:tM) has left us with some
very weird rules questions. (Hey, if it effects the minion, why CAN'T you send
the Flame Thrower equipped Street Gang into Torpor?)
