Q: Kraken's Kiss and additional strikes

Just to make sure (for my celerity/vicissitude deck :)... the superior steal blood effect of Kraken's Kiss is usable on the same round as the first strength+1 strike, right? Assuming I get an additional strike from somewhere, of course. The card says "once each round for the remainder of this combat", so I would assume yes but want to be sure. //Petri
