So, should all the cards out there that allow (on the text) directed actions against yourself (the V:TES pulled fangs, rampage, etc.) be changed to mean the action is undirected so that only your predator and prey can attempt to block? Is there official errata to this?

[ quoted text not captured ] The VtES Pulled Fangs does *not* allow you take a (D) action against yourself. As written, the (D) action is directed against the controller of the Pulled Fangs (which is you, since it is a minion card), so your minions cannot attempt it at all. If anyone else felt so inclined to take the action for you, then it would still be directed at you, and only your minions could block. The only card that allows you to take a (D) action against yourself is Rampage. And, in that case, no one can block (use of Eagle's Sight or Anneke is required to block, that is). -- L. [ quoted text not captured ] The Goth Band doesn't have text indicating that it can directed the (D) action at a card you control, so it can't [ quoted text not captured ]

I've been thinking of a crazy combo of : Goth Band/Dreams of the Sphinx/Short Term Investment... The current ruling, as I understand it, requires specific card text in order to allow a directed action against one's self. Lacking this text, Goth Band only allows you to make (D) actions against other Meths. I don't think that "any master" overrides this ruling. -spongy Goth Band Ally Tor. Anti 2 pool UNIQUE ALLY with 2 life. 1 hand damage, 0 bleed. As a +1 stealth (D) action, the Goth Band may move one counter from any master card in play to a master card you control that uses counters. Artist: Matt Wilson Rarity: Uncommon

>The only card that allows you to take a (D) action against yourself is Rampage I always read the second clause on Rampage ("If you choose a location you control, this action is at +1 stealth") as saying that Rampaging your own stuff is a regular +1 stealth action, else why give stealth? --- Liam Burke "Only a Malkavian would attack Cthulhu with laughing gas..." -overheard
