Quick question. Two vampire enters combat, both inflicting one point to each other. One has fortitude, prevents his one point and throws down a Pulled Fangs. Is this legal?

[ quoted text not captured ] Perfectly. Even though the first vampire attempted to inflict 1 damage, the actual amount was 0 (due to prevention). Pulled fangs can only be thrown during the press phase, so you still have opportunities to additional strike more damage at the second vampire, hopefully enough to avoid pulled fangs. This question brings up one I have had recently. 2 vampires are in combat. The one with fortitude takes a good deal more than he dished out, perhaps preventing some of it. Anyway, when damage resoultion is over, there is still more damage done to him this round. So the opponent throws down a Pulled Fangs. Can this be prevented with say...Skin of Rock or what have you? If so, are his fangs still missing? Or did preventing the agg damage prevent his fangs from bing pulled? Just one of those many weird questions that may have rulings but I haven't seen it. Christian

No.The Rules Team has ruled that you may only play damage prevention cards during strike resolution (Because you can play them during Strike resolution means to the RT that you can *only* play them during the Strike resolution.) You could use a card in play, however, like Flak Jacket or what have you. -- L. Scott Johnson (sjoh...@math.sc.edu) | Surly to bed, http://www.math.sc.edu/~sjohnson | surly to rise.
