A friend and I are in a friendly dispute over rulings listed in the FAQ and DTR. Addtional strike: Does it have to be played first? My minion enters combat with another minion, and after we determine range, does he have to play the additonal stike first and determine the strikes? I know that the second strike is resolved after the first, but can I dodge and he does a strike and after dealing damage, he pull out an additional strike? -- Guy Swartwood gswa...@msgateway.wichitaks.attgis.com ------------------------------------------ "I may be an idiot, but indeed I am no fool" Men at Work "So I open my door to my enemies and I ask could we wipe the slate clean, but they tell me to please go f*** myself. Additional strikes are played *after* the initial strike resolution phase. (Except that Strike: Dodge with and additional Strike is played at the "announce strikes" phase, of course). You cannot (in general) play any "gain strikes" card before strike resolution. (Cycling the card hoping for a better initial strike, for instance). See the example on pg.33 for suggested timing. -- ----- L. Scott Johnson (lsc...@crl.com) | The opinions expressed are mine Graphics Specialist and Jyhad Rulemonger | and subject to card text

This card is played after the strike resolution. See the example on the bottom of page 33 in what passes for the rulebook. (Good Question, by the way...) Algustas *****Bugs, Mr. Rico! There are two ways to get additional strikes. The first way is to play an additional strike card in the additional strike sub-phase. This phase comes after strike resolution, and thus you *can* play additional strikes later. The second way to get one is to use a strike (or other card) that allows an additional strike. These are played earlier in the combat, and must be played at that time. These cannot be played later. Whichever you use, only one card that agives additional strikes can be played. So, for example, you could play Blur during the Additional Strike phase or Acrobatics (superior) during the Choose Strike phase, but if you have both of those cards in your hand, you can only play 1 during a given combat round. | If you've got a hot lead on a new | *--Joe--* | PC game, call the announce line at | js...@vt.edu | ** csi...@discus.ise.vt.edu ** | +-------------------------------------+---------------------------------- "There.
