In tonights game, the following two incidences happened, and of course questions arose. Tom, if you could give us the low down on how to handle them, it would be appreciated. 1) Protracted Investment: I played this master card on turn 1, and then followed up with playing another on turn two. It's not unique, and the wording allowed for confusion. By declining to play a Master card, could I draw one blood from BOTH cards, ala Living Artifact? We voted for the game that I could, but it was still vague. 2) Contested Kindred: We had a Gangrel in contention, the one that was out first had a retainer on him. Does a minion in contention immediately lose all equipment and retainers, or only after the Methuselah decides to yield? Thanks for the help! --Red +----------------------------------------------+---------------------------+ | Looking for Creature Bonds and Earthbinds!!! | redadept@cris.com | | If you'd like to contribute, send me E-mail! +---------------------------+ +----------------------------------------------+ Hail Eris! Not sure about this one. >2) Contested Kindred: We had a Gangrel in contention, the one that was > out first had a retainer on him. When a Methuselah concedes and burns their Vampyre, everything on that Vampyre is burned. If the Vampyre with the retainer (in your example) actually won the contention (ie. the other Methuselah burned their Vampyre first), it would come back into play with everything it had when it left. However, if the Vampyre with the retainer was burned (to end the contention), then everything that was on that vampyre is also burned. ...Paul -- + + + + + + + + + + + Paul, cleggp@rpi.edu. yIlImQo'qu' Don't Panic! alt.galactic-guide yIlaD "When doth life leave the weary? Note that it says that instead of playing a master card, you take 1 blood from "the" Short Term Investment, meaning you burn a master action to take 1 blood from *that* Investment. You cannot use multiple investments during a turn unless you have same way of playing multiple master cards during your master phase (say, by having Anson out). >2) Contested Kindred: We had a Gangrel in contention, the one that was > out first had a retainer on him. Such equipment will be unusable whlie it's in contention, of course. Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
