Lorenzo Detuono
Aus / Dem / DOM / NEC / POT
Independent. Red List : If Lorenzo is ready at the end of combat and the
opposing minion is not, Lorenzo may burn 5 blood to move the opposing
minion to your ready region (with 1 life for an ally with no life) instead.
Illusions of the Kindred
Type: Combat
Requires: Chimerstry
Cost: 2 blood
Only usable before range is determined.
[chi] Combat ends. Move the bottom card of your crypt to your ready
region. He or she does not contest any other vampires or titles in play.
The vampire has an amount of blood equal to half of his or her capacity
(round down). Combat begins between the vampire and the opposing minion.
Remove the crypt card from the game at the end of combat.
[CHI] As above, but the vampire has an amount of blood equal to his or
her capacity.
Ravnos gets into combat, playing Illusions at superior to pull Lorenzo
from the crypt. Thoughts betrayed, bins, steals and then dissapears.
Trouble is getting the Ravnos out in the opening 4 while keeping a crypt
full of Lorenzo
Maybe not too competative but may be a fun idea for someone to make as a
deck.
Who knows....

Both Lorenzo and Illusions have an "at the end of combat" effect. What
is the order? If Illusions resolves first (which it might, since it is
played first), Lorenzo's special cannot be used. Also, at inferior
Chi, having enough blood to use his special will be challenging.

I would run it as a solo Lorenzo deck and give him chimerstry (with
skillcard and eye which also allows rush + reduction in price on the
Illusions) instead.
Like with the old Alexandra illusions deck, but here with the catch
that you dont untap, but that you gain a minion and your prey/pred
loses one.

Is there any reason why Lorenzo would not get his special?

Hence the reason for using it at superior.
Interestinjg to get an official ruling on the timing for the above
however

Yes -- if the illusion removes him from play. Specials on cards not in play
cannot be used. (Plus, he wouldn't meet the "if ready" condition if he were
removed from play.)
Anyway, they have the same window, so the acting Methuselah orders the effects,
as usual.

There are quite a few G4/5 Vamps with POT AUS DEM in their disc spread
though quite large they Have access to The, Call If you can get the
proper capacity chain going you could get a few of them in play at a
CRAZY! discount. I was planning on using this GIO with the Potence
malks and using fast reaction to bin a away at low risk to steal vamps
while using potence stealth to bleed.

For future generations:
Illusions of the Kindred, when used to pull Lorenzo Detuono from the
crypt, will NOT remove him from the game before he can use his special.

Except when the acting Methuselah so chooses.
i.e. Don't try this while reacting.
