Since you have previously ruled that the Fida'i can untap even if under the effects of Rotschreck (because it says that "this vampire does not untap as normal") - does this also mean that the Fida'i can still untap under the effects of a Snipe Hunt? Rotschreck: Put this card on a vampire when an opposing minion attempts to inflict aggravated damage on him or her, whether the damage would be successfully inflicted or not. Combat ends. This vampire is tapped and sent to torpor. This vampire does not untap as normal. During this vampire's next untap phase, burn this card. Snipe Hunt: Political Card - Worth 1 vote. Called by any vampire at +1 stealth. Successful referendum means that all vampires with a capacity less than 4 are tapped and do not untap as normal during their next untap phase. Thanks, Todd B.

Yes. Only the "as normal" untapping is affected by Snipe Hunt. A Deranged/Detected vampire would still be able to pay a blood to untap. And Setites can still pay a blood to untap if Children of Osiris is in play. etc. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Just like a "snipe-hunted", deranged vampire can untap during the untap phase by spending one blood.

Only the "as normal" untapping is affected by Snipe Hunt. Wow! I can just see the possibilities for Fida'i unfolding before my eyes! Ok, slightly sarcastic, but perhaps having an Assamite Justicar with PRE in play will help make this happen. ;)
