I am trying to build a new deck, and want to know if the following
procedure is legal:
1. Bring out smudge
2. Play a skill on him
3. Equip with arron's feeding razor
4. Put TWO blood dolls on him(I understand this takes two master phases )
5. Hunt
6. On next turn, pull blood off, hunt again :-)
7. Repeat step 6 for remainder of game.
Also, straighten me out on this - Day operation says "cannot be blocked"
- this is quite lucid and consice(unlike other Jyhad cards :-) ) Is there
any way to block it ?

about the blood dolls, i could be mistaken, but i think you can only have
one blood doll on a vamp at a time. the reasoning, a blood doll is a
blood doll- a physical slave to the methusala.
there was some discussion about the day operation thingy, but i believe
that it is not blockable. eagle's sight or anneke would be the only
methods of blocking if at all, but i don't think so: unblockable means
unblockable. if they use that to bleed you, telepathic counter. if they
use it with fame, use the appropriate boon; it's either life boon or minor
boon- i get them mixed up.

Official mis-errata is that Eagle's Sight can block it.
This stems from the fact that Eagle's Sight can block otherwise unblockable
actions like the (mis-errata'ed) Rampage when used against yourself.
Since we can block this "unblockable" action, we can block *any* unblockable
action. Hrmph. The ruling is under dispute.
(BTW, Rampage should've had errata stating that it is not a directed action
when taken against oneself, but ...)
Also, if a Brujah is taking the Day Op, you can Frenzy him, which blocks the
action. (Not that Brujah typically have fortitude, but...)

There's no way to block a Day Operation. Isn't that beautifull?
And yes... The Blood Doll thing with your Caitiff is a good way to have
"free" blood, but I know a better way...
You tap Eco Terrorist to put a blood on an uncontrolled vampire, and
you use 2 transfers to put the blood from your uncontrolled vampire to
your blood pool.

Except with Eagle's Sight. DTR from 10/6/94, question #27. No
further DTR about this have been issued.

Actually, we're pretty sure this was reversed, and it simply never made it
into a DTR. Specifically, Eagle's Sight is only allowing the vampire to
ignore the usual restrictions as to which players may attempt to block
an action, and does not override all restrictions such as Day Operation,
Seduction, etc. Hopefully the reversal will be confirmed in the next DTR.

Peace Thomas,
YEAH! Unblockable Day Ops again! Just another reason for my change to Fame.
Give Ventrue some respect again. Legal Manip + Day Ops + Conditioning!

Above combo is a balance problem of Fame, and Fame alone, and IMO should
not have any influence on rulings concerning Day Operation.
Sure you can do LM + DO + Conditioning combo, but you
pay 3 blood right away and go to torpor. A Malk can
do hard-to-block S&B for big bleeds anyway,
without having to go to torpor.

Peace Alan,
The two lines of my post (above) are not directly related. I was reiterating
that Fame is broken (unblockable Day Op + Fame is another good reason for
my suggested change to Fame). I was also saying that Ventrue might get
some more respect now that they can do serious UNBLOCKABLE bleeds again.
As Ventrue, about the only way you can do real bleeds, IMO, is lots of Majesty
(can be countered by lots of Wakes) or Dawn/Day Ops to discourage/prohibit
intercept. I'm glad that Day Ops is unblockable.

DTR means Design Team Ruling? Yes?
Where does one find DTRs? Is there an ftp site?

As of now, there's no archive that I know of, but I'll put a
copy of them up for anyone who wants them. Check Thursday, March 16,
after 3:00pm.
It'll be available via anonymous ftp from discus.ise.vt.edu in
the directory pub/outgoing/jsciv.
