I have a number of queries that I hope LSJ (or anyone else) can answer for me: 1) We recently had a newguy in our playgroup who reckoned that he could put a Discipline Master card on an uncontrolled (face-down) vampire. We all though that he could not do this, but the wording on card IIRC does not confirm this. I can safely assume we were right anyway? 2) I know that DotB has now changed so that it is unstackable, and that the damage now occurs during the 'press phase' of combat. I can assume that this damage is now circumvented by any form of S:CE? 3) If a bloodhunt is declared upon on of your own acting minions, can you play reaction cards such as Pulling String, Kindred Coercion or Dread Gaze during the referendum? 4) Is Dawn Operation, Weather Control, Undead Persistence and Amaranth a valid combination for a minion in combat? Thanks in advance for your comments. Regards, Mike Nudd VEKN Prince of London

I believe so. However, Skin of Night in place of Undead Persistence would be a much better option. You don't end up in torpor, then. Xian

He'd have to play Dawn Operation before combat and then be blocked, but otherwise yes. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Cards cannot be played on minions in the uncontrolled area unless there's text specifically allowing it (e.g. Brainwash). >2) I know that DotB has now changed so that it is unstackable, and >that the damage now occurs during the 'press phase' of combat. I can >assume that this damage is now circumvented by any form of S:CE? Hm. As written, yeah. That's kind of annoying. LSJ, can you confirm this? >3) If a bloodhunt is declared upon on of your own acting minions, can >you play reaction cards such as Pulling String, Kindred Coercion or >Dread Gaze during the referendum? Nope. On the other hand, neither can anyone else. Bloodhunt referenda aren't actions, and thus cannot be modified or reacted to. [6.5.6] >4) Is Dawn Operation, Weather Control, Undead Persistence and Amaranth >a valid combination for a minion in combat? Yes, assuming the minion possesses the appropriate Disciplines. gomi -- "I wanted to feel that tug of a body as it jerks and kicks while I hold the handle and the life erupts from it like water from the cold springs of the Eastern Mountains.
