Hello LSJ, Here's a question I had last night : How exactly does Protected resources deal with non-bleed pool loss during a bleed action ? Here's an example to make things a bit clearer : Anson has 2 Aching Beauty 's, and bleeds his prey. Prey blocks, burns 2 pool. After combat, Anson uses his Ambulance to continue the action. a/ if prey doesn't block, does she burn pool for the successful bleed action ? (she already burnt 2 pool during this bleed action) b/ if answer to a/ is no, is the bleed successful ? The thing is that Protected Resources doesn't mention where the pool loss comes from (this is just about getting confirmation the pool loss is pool loss due to successful bleeding). Thanks. -- cardtext : Name: Protected Resources Cardtype: Master Cost: 2 pool Master. Put this card in play. You do not burn more than 2 pool when a minion bleeds you, regardless of the amount of the bleed. Burn this card if a minion you control successfully bleeds.

It has no effect on or awareness of non-bleed pool loss. > Here's an example to make things a bit clearer : > > Anson has 2 Aching Beauty 's, and bleeds his prey. Prey blocks, burns > 2 pool. Confirmed: "when a minion bleeds you". [ quoted text not captured ]

Blooded Sand

[ quoted text not captured ] The pool burn from aching beauty iss before the bleed, as a cost for attempting to block. The bleed itself is only for 2. Anson has 2 Aching Beauties, bleeds for 2. If Smudge attempts to block, you pay 2 pool. If Anson then plays Torrent, you would need to pay another 2 pool to again attempt to block. IF he gets blocked again, and plays Torrent again, you will again need to pay 2 pool. Ad absurdium. Then when the action succeeds, you burn 2 pool for the bleed, no matter how large the bleed amount is. (assuming a bleed larger than 1...)
