If my first strike (from say, Backstab) puts the opposing vampire in torpor, do they get a strike? How does this work with the combat resolution timing rules, etc? -- Tom Doehne doe...@cse.ogi.edu

If the opposing vampire is no longer ready after a strike dealt with first strike, then the opposing vampire's strike will not resolve (they still announce their strike, of course, since that occurs before any strike resolution). For a complete discourse of the timing rules, see my Complete Rules Outline, posted here evry month and available from my VtES page http://Rulemonger.Home.ML.Org -- L. The opposing minion's strike just sucks. It's the only reason the Muddled Vampire Hunter gets to survive -- he delivers his 4 points of first strike damage and the vamp falls down before getting in a return shot. gomi -- 'spend a day and a half dead and the lettuce runs amok.' -babs woods
