Rules Regarding Seat Switching?

Hey there! I was just curious as to whether or not there are any specific rules regarding card that let you switch seating (Dramatic Upheaval, Kindred Restructure). In particular, do you *have* to physically switch seats or is it okay if you just skip about with the order of play (to fit the new predator-prey relationship). Alternatively, can the player who switches seats demand to physically switch seat (i.e. 2-players left, a Dramatic Upheaval is played. The person who played it wants to physically change seats and move everything because it would lead to a time-out. The other player believes that you shouldn't physically change seats because it would serve no real purpose). Thoughts? Sidenote: I just thought it might be amusing to add that at a recent game, a Dramatic Upheaval from one player and a Reversal of Fortunes from another ended up with no one actually needing to move to a different seat, but with play continuing clock-wise as normal but your prey to your right instead of your left. It was a tad bit disorienting to say the least! Halcyan 2

Typically, this is switching seats. But if the players agree to some other format to accomplish the same thing, then OK. > Alternatively, can the player who switches seats demand to physically switch > seat (i.e. 2-players left, a Dramatic Upheaval is played. See the new V:EKN Judges' Guide (aka Penalty Guidelines 2003), section 162, for the expanded clarification/example that covers exactly this sort of "hot idling" stalling. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I really only played the Reversal of Fortunes for the hell of it, so that we could go around the table normally. It was only in the deck as a vote that I thought would be easy to pass with Bribes (i.e. "What the hell, I'll vote for it for a pool... not like I give a damn") and then Cryptic Rider. I was sick of play going around in wrong direction, but it was still tough to figure out who I was bleeding. As for your question, its my opinion that a player should be allowed to demand a switching of seats as long as that player is affected by the switch. And by affected, I mean that his predator or prey has been changed.

>Hehe... was that the game I was in? I remember Tim still being in the game, >but I couldn't remember who else was left. Yes. Originally: Me --> Chris Berger --> Tim --> Ocean --> Barnette I was playing my !Tremere Presence vote deck. You were playing your weenie AUS vote deck. Tim was playing his weenie Hack deck. Ocean was playing some Giovanni deck. Barnette was playing his !Toreador deck. Tim bled Ocean down real low. I Dramatic Upheavel'ed with Tim and bled out Ocean. So then it was: Me --> Barnette --> Tim --> Berger Around this time (when Tim was close to being ousted) you played the Reversal of Fortunes so we decided that it wouldn't be worth it to change seats. (Eventually Barnette ousted Tim and you, Berger, and I managed to oust Barnette for the TW after a long protracted match). >That was awesome. I liked that deck too. With all the Bribes and Autarkis', I was gaining pool like mad! Halcyan 2
