If the vampire didn't have any blood left on them this is still valid because the vampire only has to take a hunting action if they have not blood on them at the start of the minion phase. Then you get to process all "during untap" effects in any order. Also, note that being ready means being controlled and not in torpor; whether a vampire is tapped is irrelevant to whether it's ready.
