could i combine camarilla vitae slave with spontaneous power to give my lasombra the discipline i had chosen earlier for the spontaneous power, so that he counts as having the discipline at superior for that turn or are the two cards 'imcompatible'?
thanks for your thoughts on the matter!

Yes. One level of a Discipline = basic level of the Discipline.
to clarify, that's a 'yes' to using both together to get superior. Not 'yes' to the question of 'are they incompatible?'.
Spontaneous grains you one level. so going from none to basic level. then cam vitae slave chooses that basic level, and upgrades it to superior.
(I had to go check card texts as I was initially confused by LSJ's answer)
Spontaneous Power
Type: Master
Cost: 2 pool
Unique master.
Put this card on a vampire and choose a Discipline. This vampire gains 1 level of the chosen Discipline. While in play, this card counts as a master: Discipline card.

Camarilla Vitae Slave
Type: Retainer
Requires: Lasombra
Cost: 2 blood
Retainer with 1 life.
The vampire with this retainer increases his or her capacity by 1. During each of his or her controller's master phases, he or she may choose a basic level Discipline he or she possesses. He or she then has the chosen Discipline at the superior level until his or her controller's next master phase.
