Yes, this is an old one.
I'm trying to understand what exactly happens between the two combats.
Here's the original discussion:

Here is the situation:
A (acting) and B (blocking) are in combat. In that combat, B should be wounded due to a 1agg strike (let's not consider Rowan Ring / Stake, so far). B plays Undead Persistence. B is still wounded, and should go to torpor (per the rules), but UP prevents that.
Then, combat ends. A plays sup' Psyche!
We are now before the combat Psyche! would generate. In this step, B could play Wakes, Obedience ([LSJ 19991025] (http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/7fa25a6d1ae41b2b)), or the Ohoyo Hopoksia could be used.
In this step, B is wounded (since he was inflicted that 1agg strike).
However, the source discussion explicitely reads B won't go to torpor until after the Psyche! combat.
What I don't get is why B isn't sent to torpor before the Psyche! combat. He is wounded, with no effect that would prevent him from being sent to torpor.
Suppose the Ohoyo enters combat instead of B, in that Psyche! combat.
When exactly does B go to torpor?
Thanks !

Undead Persistence
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Fortitude
[for] Only usable when this vampire should go into torpor. This vampire gets an optional press and will not go to torpor until combat ends (although he or she is still considered wounded and can be burned as normal). If three rounds of combat pass with no cards played, combat ends. This vampire is sent into torpor after combat.
[FOR] Prevent 2 damage.
Psyche!
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Celerity
[cel] Press.
[CEL] Only usable at the end of combat when both combatants are still ready. Begin another combat with the opposing minion.
Obedience
Cardtype: Reaction
Discipline: Dominate
Only usable when this reacting vampire is about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire.
[dom] Untap the acting vampire, do not tap this reacting vampire, and end the current action (and combat). The acting vampire cannot attempt the same action this turn.
[DOM] As above, but do not untap the acting vampire.
Ohoyo Hopoksia (Bastet)
Cardtype: Ally
Clan: Ahrimane
Cost: 3 pool
Unique werewolf with 3 life. 3 strength, 0 bleed.
When a minion you control is about to enter combat with an acting minion, you may tap Ohoyo to cancel that combat; Ohoyo enters combat with the acting minion instead. She gets an optional maneuver each combat. If she has less than 3 life during your untap phase, she gains 1 life from the blood bank.
