Help! I'm really confused as to what pays blood for certain cards: Rulebook pg. 13: Cost of Playing Cards: In the upper right-hand corner of a library card is the cost of playing that card. Hmmmm....I don't see that. They must mean bottom right.... "The number in the drop is the cost is blood counters that you must pay to the blood bank in order to play that card. .. however, cards having the number in white lettering within a black blood drop you pay for from your blood pool to the blood bank." Back cover: (Symbol: Outline of a blood drop) Blood (Symbol: Filled blood drop) Methuselah's Pool Now, this seems opposite to what was said on page 13. Now where does that leave these cards? Conditioning: White blood drop halfway down left side. Methuselah pays? Deflection: Black blood drop halfway down the left side. Minion pays? Saturday Night Special: Black blood drop in bottem left corner. Minion pays? Please help!!!!! Rob rb007b@uhura.cc.rochester.edu

A totally black blood drop with white writing (as found on equipment cards) are blood that comes from the Methusela's pool. A black outline of a blood drop with a white center and black writing (as on Wolf Claws, etc.) is paid by the minion. -bopo

The way I interpreted it is as follows: if its a white filled in blood drop then you can ONLY play for it through your blood pool. If its a black filled in blood drop then you can pay with it through minion blood _or_ your own blood pool.

Costs represented with white drops are always paid by the vampire using the card. Costs represented with black drops are always paid by the Methuselah using the card. Deflection looks a little odd because it has the black blood drop up in the middle of the card, but I suspect what happened there is "all discipline card costs are printed in the middle" overrode "all Methuselah pool costs are printed at the bottom".
