Hi, Small question on an issue I encountered on saturday in Barcelona. I thought it was misplayed, called a judge (don't remember which one it was, definitely not Damnans )and he said it was correct after all. I feel rather ..uncomfortable with the ruling, so I thought I'd check: Situation: Player A (my grandprey) controlls Fleurdumal (Prince of Miami) with 1 blood, tapped. I (his grandpredator) bleed my prey (and after a blocking attempt and adding 3 stealth), deflected to player A Player A plays: Wake with evening's freshness + Second Tradition, both on Fleurdumal. He untaps his vampire.(and afterwards tries to block, in which he fails, due to +3 stealth added by me) IMHO, I would say that either he plays WWEF+2ND, does not pay the one blood, but does not untap; or he plays both cards, pays the 1 blood, and untaps. It was ruled that he can play WWEF, therefore can play the 2nd as if untapped, and thus does not have to pay the 1 blood in order to untap.. Can you clarify this for me? Thanks in advance, Jo

Second Tradition: Domain [Jyhad, V:TES, CE] Cardtype: Reaction Requires a ready prince or justicar. +2 intercept. Also usable by a tapped prince or justicar, even if intercept is not yet needed, to burn a blood to untap and attempt to block with +2 intercept. If played as if untapped, all you get is +2 intercept. If played as tapped, you must burn a blood _to_ untap etc. You definately can't get a free untap out of it by combining with WWEF. You can get the free intercept though (although you'll still be tapped). salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

Playing Wake will allow playing Second Tradition for no cost to gain +2 intercept, but gaining +2 intercept won't untap the prince. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Also usable by a tapped Prince or Justicar, even if intercept is not yet needed, to burn a blood to untap and attempt to block with +2 intercept." Seems pretty obvious that to untap would require a blood. --Colin McGuigan
