Have a few questions about some stuff that came up in a game last night. If anyone could help, that would be awesome! Thanks in advance! --------------------- Gisela Ability: Gisela can burn a vampire in your prey's uncontrolled region as a (D) action that costs X blood, where X is the amount of blood on that vampire; any blood on that vampire is returned to your prey's pool. What I want to know, is, X blood, can mean, 0 to 11 blood. Am I right? Because it doesn't say, at least one blood, so I would assume I could start ripping into my prey's uncontrolled region as soon as I bring her out. I would take X to mean any number including zero, but I could just be getting literal about it. I thought that it meant, it had to have at least one blood, but there isn't anything that says different. --------------------- Ok, the next one is a bit of confusing one for me. I get into combat with an Tegyrius, he does 6 damage to me, I do only 2, he then puts on a Disarm on Juggler (who has depravity on him) and uses it at superior. So, I effectively have 0 strength now. Because I had 2 strength the last round. I get Juggler out of torpor and into combat, I play a Torn Signpost at superior which sets my hand damage to 3, plus 1 with the Depravity makes my strength 4, but my question is, does that negate the effects of the Disarm, or does it count, and my strength is now 2, or is the Disarm canceled? --------------------- My last question is about forthcoming expansions. I just wondering if any new bloodlines Clan specific cards/Vamps were coming out, for the clans like Harbingers, Salubri etc, and in the next actual expansion coming in Feb? ---------------------

Am I right? Yes. Gisela can burn an uncontrolled vamp with 0 blood on it for free. > I get into combat with an Tegyrius, he does 6 damage to me, I do only 2, he > then puts on a Disarm on Juggler (who has depravity on him) and uses it at > superior. > > So, I effectively have 0 strength now. Strength is now 2. Torn Signpost only negates other strength-setting effects (eg, Erosion). --Colin McGuigan

Brainwash? Or Banishment. Ah yes, Banishment. Never mind. In theory then, the vampire could have a very high amount of blood on it, no? Lazar Dobrescu has 31 discipline cards and 16 Sanguine Instructions on him (capacity 50), and then get's Giant's Blooded. Watenda has an equal amount of discipline cards and Sanguines, but also has been voted the Prince of Stockholm (capacity 51). He banishes Lazar, it will cost Gisela 50 blood. Hmmm.... Now how do we get Gisela to 50 capacity - is it even possible? And what other capacity increasers am I missing? > > > Yes. Banishment, Reality, and Honor the Elders are all ways to get excess blood on vampires (compared to their "true" capacities). Camarilla Vitae Slave is usually the easiest example to use as a capacity increaser, since it's non-unique and stackable. Halcyan 2

It's way too early to know much in the way of specifics about the February expansion cards; I wouldn't be surprised if that set were still being playtested. -John Flournoy
