If Mylan Horseed wants to untap another Methuselah's vampire, is that considered a (D) action, or can Mylan's predator and prey attempt to block? --Colin McGuigan

If an action targets another Methuselah (or something controlled by another Methuselah), then the action is directed, and the Methuselah who is the target (or controls the target) of the action may attempt to block the action. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Few Questions relating to this: Is the quoted text applicable to every action? - The Haunting: Card Text: (D) Put this card on any minion. The minion with this card burns one blood or life during his or her untap phase. Any minion can burn this card as an action. A minion can have only 1 The Haunting. As above, but this action is at +1 stealth. - *(Assuming the card on the vampire is controlled by the controller of the vampire, which i believe is the case): Cross-table removal of this card is a (D) action directed at the methuselah controlling the Haunted vampire? Removal from the Haunting is a (D) action, like, always? (even if directed at self, therefore being blockable by pred/prey etc.) Why is there a difference in card text between taking an Action to remove a card and taking a (D) action to remove a card? Thanks in advance, -Bram Vink

It's the rules, yeah. It applies to everything (unless card text overrides it). http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#sec6_2_2 > - > The Haunting: > Card Text: > > (D) Put this card on any minion. Correct. > Removal from the Haunting is a (D) action, like, always? (even if > directed at self, therefore being blockable by pred/prey etc.) If you control the acting minion and the target card, the action is undirected, and pred/prey can block. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#sec6_2_2 > Why is there a difference in card text between taking an Action to > remove a card and taking a (D) action to remove a card? Per http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#sec6_2_2, the difference is that if the action targets (a single) other Methuselah, it is (D). If it doesn't, it isn't. > Why is there a difference in card text between taking an Action to > remove a card and taking a (D) action to remove a card? > One assumes that the controller will be removing it most of the time, the other assumes that the controller won't be removing it most of the time. (D) is only REMINDER text, what determines an Action to be Directed is who the target is, not what the Action is.
