LSJ - Swarm timing?

So, a few curious questions about Swarm's unusual when-blocked effect: Swarm [Retainer] [1 Blood] Animal with 1 life. Requires a ready Laibon. Put the Swarm on any ready minion (employing the Swarm is a +1 stealth (D) action if that minion is controlled by another Methuselah). If this action is blocked, put the Swarm on the acting minion instead (no cost is paid). During this minion's untap phase, if the Swarm has more than 1 life, it burns a life; otherwise, it steals 1 blood or life from this minion. A minion may have only one Swarm. When a recruiting minion is blocked, what happens if Change Of Target (or Tangle, or similar) is played? Does the Swarm still hop on, since the action's success/resolution isn't important? Or does the Swarm's text not apply? Second, what's the timing on the Swarm's backfiring effect, as relates to the ensuing combat? I assume Swarm is placed on the acting minion before combat, and thus is in play for the combat itself, but I'm not 100% sure. (If it is, you could Weather Control the Swarm back off of you before it had a chance to start really causing trouble.) - D.J.

This covers change of target. Otherwise, it doesn't. This covers Tangle. > Second, what's the timing on the Swarm's backfiring effect, as relates > to the ensuing combat?
