Can Redistribution target uncontrolled Blood Brothers of same circle? I think the answer is no, but Redistribution doesn't specify that other Blood Brothers would need to controlled. Name: Redistribution [LoB:C] Cardtype: Action Discipline: Sanguinus +1 stealth action. [san] This acting vampire gains a blood. Then move any amount of blood and equipment among the Blood Brothers in this circle. [SAN] As above, and untap this acting vampire. Artist: Andrew Trabbold

The answer is no, because Redistribution doesn't specify that other Blood Brothers could be uncontrolled. Similarly, Giant's Blood cannot target an uncontrolled Blood Brother. IANLSJ, but I did some searching with the terms "uncontrolled effect author:LSJ". I found a discussion on a vampire receiving benefits from the Rack whilst the vamp is in the uncontrolled region due to a Banishment. Check out http://tinyurl.com/ylhddf LSJ said that in the absence of _enabling_text_, something cannot be assumed. By virtue of that, I'd say no. I think Redistribution is understood to apply only to controlled (even torporized) vampires, even vampires controlled by other Methuselahs (though Rehlow stated in http://tinyurl.com/uunzb that if Blood Brothers of the same circle (barring the Mexico circles) are present, then you're pretty much screwed). Hope to help, in a way. Cry Wolf [ quoted text not captured ]

This is even covered in the rulebook! 1.6.1.4 (of the online rulebook) (http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/) Targets. If a card is played on another card, or selects or chooses or otherwise targets another card, the target card must be in play (i.e., controlled). Vampires in the torpor region are eligible targets by default, *but vampires in the uncontrolled region and contested cards are not*.
