A question came up yesterday that are group was quite divided on. The card Glaser Rounds says that it "can't be used the first time a gun is used in a combat". Half the group was arguing that since it the gun had been used in a combat 6 turns ago that it "had been used in _a_ combat". The other half were arguing that it was refering to a particular combat, and that the gun had not not been used yet in this particular combat. Just so things we pointed out do not get rehashed here, some of the first group pointed out that other combat cards with round restrictions state can't be used in the first round of combat, but that is countered by pointing out that a gun doesn't have to be used the first round of combat, so those card references are irrelevant. End result was the group turned to me, since i'm on the net, but I have no idea. I can see this going either way. We decided to flip a coin (result: glaser rounds couldn't be used this combat until after the gun was used this combat). I respect net wisdom, but i think for this I'll need a WotC answer to convince both sides of this argument. Thanks, Chris. cat@wintermute.ucr.edu

The use of "a combat" means "any given combat". You have to wait until a gun's second strike during a given combat to use Glaser Rounds; you can't use it in one combat, then use the rounds on its first strike in the next combat.
