Help is greatly appreciated. No. All you can do in torpor is try to get out, except with cards that specifically allow actions in torpor. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

What happens if you put society of Leopold on a vampire and that vampire goes to torpor? Does the vampire get burned? Can they still put SoL on a different vampire? Help is greatly appreciated. Jennifer...@m.cc.utah.edu

If ever a vampire with the SOL on it runs out of blood, the next time it untaps, it is burned. So, if the vamp went to torpor for lack of blood, that vamp will be burned when it untaps. If it went to torpor with blood still on it, then it must wait until it leaves torpor to try and move the SOL. I have another question about the SOL, however. The rules state that all cards untap at the beginning of the untap phase, but that all other effects can be handled in whatever order the player desires. Can you put a blood from a hunting ground on an empty vamp with the SOL and remove that blood to satisfy the Society? Or would your vamp be burned before you could do so? stephen

Peace Stephen, Note: this is an educated guess, as I haven't studied the SoL closely. Since you are burned by the SoL if you untap without blood AND untaping cards comes _first_ in your untap phase, THEN I would conclude that the SoLed vamp is SOL (burned, that is). S/H/It would be burned before you had an opportunity to put blood on it from a HG. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. McClure Jr. The OS/2 Apostle <insert disclaimer here>

Events that happen during your untap phase happen in whatever order you want them to. So if an empty vampire has Society of Leopold on it, it is possible to give that vampire a blood from a hunting ground, and then deal with the Society by having the vampire lose a blood (and not be burned).
