Hello, tiamat again, Ok, If I am a gangrel with protean. He is a Tremere flap. Ok, I play drawing out of the beast so he can't maneuver, or use that nasty flak jacket. Now, no maneuvers. I strike hands, and he says "I'll strike dodge". Now, I say, claws of the wolf, amaranth, rotscheck. 1. Can i play amaranth before rotscheck re: does he have to be "going" to torpor to play it. 2. Can i play rotscheck then amaranth (it reads: combat ends before damage is dealt re: could i still play amaranth combat card). 3. Would this efectively kill/diablerize/burn that flappy tremere. thanx in advance. tiamat@alpha2.csd.uwm.edu

We'll assume for a moment that Rotschreck hoses the vampire which would have received the aggravated damage (no, I don't want to get into that debate right now)... There is no way to use Amaranth before Rotschreck. The only thing that would be sending the Tremere to torpor (if no Rotschreck is used) would be the Wolf Claws, and a) the Tremere is dodging so won't be taking that damage and b) Rotschreck has to be used before damage is dealt, so the aggravated hand damage could never have been done. If Rotschreck is played first, then Amaranth can be used on the vampire being sent to torpor, yes. >3. Would this efectively kill/diablerize/burn that flappy tremere. Assuming Rotschreck is used against the Tremere and not the Gangrel, yes. Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
