If I have 7 Fortune Teller's on my minion, can I just see their whole hand, or do I have to do each in turn. Also, how often can I use this ability? Fortune Teller Cardtype: Retainer Clan: Ravnos Cost: 1 blood Retainer with 1 life. During your minion phase, you may look at one card picked at random from your prey's hand. Since each "look" is technically a separate action, I would think you must do each in turn...which means your prey can reshuffle after each try...which, in turn, means you won't necessarily see every card in their hand. Each in succession. The ability of a given Fortune Teller can be used once per minion phase, by the "During phase X, {you may} do Y" template. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. If you have 7 Fortune Tellers on a minion, you can't see any of their cards because you've already been ousted. --- Eric Pettersen pett "at" cgl "dot" ucsf "dot" edu (NeXTmail capable)

Personally I don't see the necessity of 'seeing hands' in this game. With the speed of card rotation in VTES, how can you really prepare for a card when in a turn it may be already used and gone? In article <8ri8si$9o9$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] Well, seeing your oponent's hand during combat, via Owl Companion or Aura Reading, can make a world of difference. However, I do agree that the Fortune Teller isn't worth the paper its printed on in terms of game usability. I once made an interesting deck which focused on knowing what its prey had in its hand. It was a nosferatu deck that used owl companions, scrying of secrets, and the quirky special abilities that the nossies have to know exactly what you had not only in your hand, but also what cards you were going to draw. Anyways, it was interesting although the comba required too many cards and was difficult to maintain. The deck basically won only when Harrod was around... The Ravnos aren't a great clan, so Fortune Teller isn't great, but all it takes is one Fortune Teller to let you know they've got an Archon Investigation in their hand that they've been holding for you to save a vampire from certain death. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "And all the while I'm thinking things that I can never share with him.
