This came up last night -
Can a Minion equipped with a Sport Bike (+1 intercept)
ignore the Bike so that he can use a card to gain
intercept that he would be unable to use if he used
the bike?
I would think no, following the precedent that a Minion cannot
choose to ignore the +1 bleed granted by a laptop.

I checked the DTR's and the only reference I could find to this
was in the 11/28/94 rules: "You cannot usually choose to not use a
retainer." It says nothing about equipment.
As far as I know, use of a Laptop is perfectly optional. It's
use of Tasha Morgan that's not. Thus, the Bike should be optional,
too.
If there's a ruling I missed, let me know.
