[LSJ] Theft and Taste of Vitae

Can Vamp A, in combat with Vamp B, Theft of B's Vitae for 2 then, at the end of the round, Taste of B's Vitae for those 2? From reading the card, it seems like this is allowed so long as A is not going to Torpor. Confirmation? While card text supports your theory, Taste has been errata'ed to only count blood lost to damage: Taste of Vitae - combat * Only counts blood that the opposing vampire burned as a result of damage.
