I read something about a Justicar Retribution's FAQ....does this card require a Camarilla vampire now ? Ouch...the most reliable Sabbat "anti inner-circle-member" card...so screwed ? Another question is about Mask of 1000 faces...ok, I know you all know the answer...but I'm a real newbie.....well, what's happen if I use the mask to exchange the acting vampire but the new one can't (normally) resume the action ? For example, if Sheldon play the Mask to modify (and resume) a Art Scam action started by a !Toreador ? Or if Thetmes resume a presence bleed action ? If my acting minion is blocked and I play "Kiss of Ra" superior, the blocking vampire (without fortitude of course)blocks successfully, burn blood and go to torpor...but the card does not mention combat...usually if a action is successfully blocked a combat starts.... And what if my acting minion plays "Kiss of Ra" + "Amaranth" or "Decapitate" ? Finally, what's happen if my predator Bum's Rush-es one of my Lasombra and I tap Heidelburg Castle to give that Lasombra "San Nicolàs de los servitas" ? Thanks to everybody Akaisuisei Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Yes, it does require a Camarilla vampire (this is in the Sabbat War rulebook.) The rest of these are found in: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulings.html if you'd rather look yourself; but, asking here is sometimes faster, or more interesting. You get some great wrong answers, here. You may be about to get some right now! =) > Another question is about Mask of 1000 faces...ok, I know you all know > the answer...but I'm a real newbie.....well, what's happen if I use the > mask to exchange the acting vampire but the new one can't (normally) > resume the action ? For example, if Sheldon play the Mask to modify > (and resume) a Art Scam action started by a !Toreador ? Or if Thetmes > resume a presence bleed action ? Mask cannot be used to mask an action if the Masking vampire is not capable of taking that action, nor if any action modifiers have been played on this action that could not have been played if the Masking vampire were the acting minion. (Not counting blood that has already been spent.) [RTR 19980623] > If my acting minion is blocked and I play "Kiss of Ra" superior, the > blocking vampire (without fortitude of course)blocks successfully, burn > blood and go to torpor...but the card does not mention combat...usually > if a action is successfully blocked a combat starts.... > And what if my acting minion plays "Kiss of Ra" + "Amaranth" > or "Decapitate" ? Combat never occurs; neither minion may play combat cards. > Finally, what's happen if my predator Bum's Rush-es one of my Lasombra > and I tap Heidelburg Castle to give that Lasombra "San Nicolàs de los > servitas" ? Heidelburg Castle may not be used during an action (including during combat). [RTR 19980707] Heidelburg Castle may not be tapped "in response" to any instant effect (because all effects in V:TES are instantaneous except for actions and certain combat effects). Ouch...the most reliable > Sabbat "anti inner-circle-member" card...so screwed ? It has officially required a Camarilla vampire since 10-NOV-1995 - as soon as WotC defined what "Non-Camarilla" meant for Dark Sovereigns. See 10.1 of the current rules. > Another question is about Mask of 1000 faces...ok, I know you all know > the answer...but I'm a real newbie.....well, what's happen if I use the > mask to exchange the acting vampire but the new one can't (normally) > resume the action ? For example, if Sheldon play the Mask to modify > (and resume) a Art Scam action started by a !Toreador ? Or if Thetmes > resume a presence bleed action ? That is illegal, by errata. [RTR 23-JUN-1998] > If my acting minion is blocked and I play "Kiss of Ra" superior, the > blocking vampire (without fortitude of course)blocks successfully, burn > blood and go to torpor...but the card does not mention combat...usually > if a action is successfully blocked a combat starts.... Only if the minion successfully blocked the action. In this case, Kiss is played before the block is successful, so no combat. > And what if my acting minion plays "Kiss of Ra" + "Amaranth" > or "Decapitate" ? Not legal, since there's no combat. > Finally, what's happen if my predator Bum's Rush-es one of my Lasombra > and I tap Heidelburg Castle to give that Lasombra "San Nicolàs de los > servitas" ? Not legal, by errata. Heidelburg Castle cannot be tapped during an action [RTR 07-JUL-1998] -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. (Not counting blood that has already been spent.) >[RTR 19980623] Just to double-check, any costs for action modifiers already played are paid by the original vampire, not the new Masking one, right? If so, then I guess Mask can also be used to save blood (have one vampire pay for the Conditioning for another one). Wait, so do all the action modifiers transfer over? If that is so, wouldn't it make it impossible to use multiple Masks? If Vampire A bleeds with Conditioning and Vampire B uses Mask (he can play the Conditioning), then I'm guessing the Conditioning transfers over. But Vampire C could NOT use another Mask because the original Mask would transfer over and it would be using two of the same action modifier? Or if you CAN play multiple Masks with different vampires, how does the superior work? Since it provides +1 stealth and the previous Mask is cancelled somewhere down the line, how does this work in determining if you have sufficient (or insufficient) stealth? Thanks! Halcyan 2

In article <20001214152831...@ng-cg1.aol.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] I don't think it counts as if the new vampire played them, and the +1 stealth works like Cloak the Gathering...but that's just a guess. Right. > Wait, so do all the action modifiers transfer over? If that is so, wouldn't it Yes, except for the ones applied to the minion instead of the action (e.g., Clan Loyalty). > make it impossible to use multiple Masks? The previous Mask is not canceled. [ quoted text not captured ]
