Jyhad is balanced well enough to do without these restrictions. > What about a decks in which there was not a limit? Someone with 40 Kine Resources Contested would keep getting intercepted, and someone with 40 Deflections would get slaughtered by the first deck that wanted to initiate combat. More than Magic, Jyhad is a game where every advantage can be turned into a disadvantage by the proper deck. Don't worry about somebody walking all over your tournament with a perfect design. It won't happen. -- Shawn Metcalf DeadB...@aol.com CEO, Omni Gaming Products

You put 40 KineRCon in a deck, you'll find yourself unable to call a vote without being blocked, and getting bled for all you worth by your predator's Malk's, or all of you vamps in torpor (and unable to call a vote) from a few encounters with Gangrel/Toreador/Nosferatu/Brujah types. And you probably can't pass the vote, since others will be playing Surprise influence/Dread Gaze against you. All the deflection isn't going to save you from a few votes (KineRCon, e.g.) nor from a little Misdirection every now and then. No deck needs a card limit, due to the well-crafted rules and cards (WwEF excepted, if you like). L. Scott

Jyhad's pretty self-balancing, with the possible exception of Fame and Monocle of Clarity. No need at all for a 4 card limit. It's been shown here in the past how a 4 card limit actually unbalances things. >- 3 players per table. If there's 1 person left, make a team of 4 just > to be sure everyone plays. Huh? Jyhad is best played with 5 or so people. You're at a con, there's lots of people available, and you want to play with fewer? In fact, the ref should have a printout of all rulings that are in effect for the tourny, and let players read it before hand. This is harder than it sounds, as so mant rulings have been reversed and even re-reversed :( Alec -- Alec Habig, Indiana University High Energy Astrophysics aha...@bigbang.astro.indiana.edu http://astrowww.astro.indiana.edu/personnel/ahabig/ Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns.
