hi y'all, this is a nitpicking question : Here is Blood Agony's Card text. - Name: Blood Agony [AH, FN] Cardtype: Combat Cost: 1 blood Discipline: Quietus [qui] Damage from this vampire's next hand or melee weapon strike is aggravated. Not usable during the first round of combat. [QUI] For the remainder of this combat, damage from this vampire's hand and melee weapon strikes is aggravated. Not usable during the first round of combat. - There 's a slight difference in the wording of the two lines above, but we don't know to which extend the usage of the card differs depending on the minions superior or inferior quietus mastery. Now the puzzle : during combat, we get to second round. My assamite declares a strike : blood fury for 2 damage. Opponent declares a hand strike for one. My assamite the plays a blood agony at superior to make the damage aggravated. Sound normal, huh ? Now what if the assamite had inferior quietus ? is it too late to play Blood Agony at this point ? i guess the part "next hand or melee weapon strike" applies to a strike not yet declared (because the wording is clearly different from wolf claws and the second line fromblood agony) . Does it mean the effect of Blood agony will affect my additional strike and not my current strike ? what if i don't get the chance to play an additional strike and press instead to a 3rd round. Will my strike be aggravated in the 3rd round of combat ? i know it sounds twisted but i want to be sure about the answer ! thank you =) reyda

It applies to the next strike, whether it has been declared yet or no. > Does it > mean the effect of Blood agony will affect my additional strike and not my > current strike ? Combat cards' effects apply only to the round in which they are played by default. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. what about the unpreventable press-step damage from dagon's call? it is damage from a hand strike after all...

I believe this is called environmental damage and the damage during the press step is not "hand or melee weapon" damage, its damage that's from dagon's call. ~SV
