In the last game I played, both my prey and I were trying to intimidate my predator in a rush-combat-threat tug-o-war. My prey was about to show my predator his hand without showing it to me, and I stopped him because I was pretty sure that you couldn't show a methuselah your hand unless you were going to show it to every methuselah in the game. In the spirit of that rule, I displayed a Haven Uncovered in my hand to both of them, and then my prey showed both of us a Haven Uncovered in his hand. All was then in happiness, except for my predator, who subsequently had the snot kicked out of both his Genevieve and his Stanislava. (QUESTION BEGINS HERE) Upon reflection, I can't remember where I heard any of these rules. Could I get a ruling on showing other Methuselahs one or more cards in your hand from the sagacious luminaries on this newsgroup? thanks in advance, dancingmummy

You can look at the cards in your own hand, but not those in the hands of other Methuselahs. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Though I agree that it should not be done and of course in tournament play must not be done, I will say that in local games it is probably very common. Then again it is not an intimidation factor as in the original post, but a new player (or old player who can't remember the errata) asking a fellow methuselah about a card text or ruling. In a tournament of course that is what the judge is there for. jon

[ quoted text not captured ] House rules are very common, yes. Many house rules allow the gaining of a pool for the edge to be "retro'ed" at almost any point if you forget to take it during your untap phase, frex. It is still not allowed by the official rules, tournament or no. [ quoted text not captured ]
