I apologize in advance if the answer to this question lies in the FAQ or in
the rules books, but I haven't been able to find it yet. My question is this:
Suppose Player A bleeds me with a vampire. I then tap one of my vampires to
play Telepathic Misdirection and send his vamp careening into another
Methuselah. That Methuselah decides to block Player A's vamp with one of his
own minions. The two minions enter combat. Both have no maneuvers and so are
at close range. Can each opt *not* to strike and so just stand there and let
the combat end? Or must they do say 1 point of hand damage to each other?

Choosing 'no strike' is never an option. The Minion must always perform
some sort of strike. (Default strike is Hands if no cards are played.)
Thus, if neither minion plays a combat card, then they both maneuver to
close range and do full hand damage to one another (you cannot 'turn off'
the +1 hand damage some vampires have and do only one), and then combat ends.

You need an untapped vampire to play TM but you don't have to tap that
vampire. Playing reactions does not tap unless the card says so.

Never try to be amusing and order something like a
"pint of dishwater". Judging by the state of some
of our larger brewers' beers, you just might get it.

And TM does say so (since Chris is describing the superior version).
Jeez.
