i'm on a bit of a playgroup roll at the moment, having won at anam and ian's house on Saturday, and again at Louisa's on Monday. i'm playing a new deck which i greatly enjoy, and will post if i ever get over the inertial barrier of writing it out. The latter game went quickly enough that we had time for a second and i was first out, playing my new "rational" !gangrel deck [not a fair test, i should add - worst possible crypt draw - but i still managed to piss on John K's parade]. Anyway, during that game Sam DI'd an Anarchist Uprising by John E. The question is, can John play another AI or other vote with that minion? i thought, and think, the answer is yes. But i was not sure, and nobody else was, so John very gallantly played as if the DI cancelled his opportunity to do that action type, and bled me out unblockably instead. LSJ, James C, help, please? Does a card that has been DId count as being "played"? The DI card text seems to indicate that the card was played, blood was spent, and then blood is restored from the blood bank. How about a Giant's Blood being Sudden Reversaled. Can another Giant's blood be played in the game? [ quoted text not captured ]

Can another > Giant's blood be played in the game? Perhaps I can save LSJ some time by posting his response to the Giant's Blood issue here. >> 1. If i play a Giant's Blood and my prey plays Sudden Reversal, >> can i play another GB late? >No. Canceling the card's effect doesn't mean the card wasn't played. Meaning that cards like Giant's blood do not care what happens after the card is played. Once they are played, the game remembers that it was played (note that burned or discarded cards are not played and do not trigger the only one clause). If Ancient Influence were written "Only on AI may be called in a game", then you would actually have to call the vote before the clause kicks in. However, as it is written, playing the card immediately triggers the clause and ignores what ever happens after that - DI, Delaying Tactics [my personal favorite response to AI and Political Stranglehold]. Greetings, noble childe of Caine. I can see from your perusal of my tome that you have accepted my gift. I do apologize for sending this volume directly to your haven, but it seemed to be the most efficient means of gaining your attention. Perhaps that is the best reason for you to listen. I applaud you for setting aside your pride and rading my little...story. As you well know, the Jyhad is the struggle against the eldest of Caine`s children, the Ancient Ones who seek to control our society through subtle manipulation and display of raw power. I have a role in the struggle as well. I carefully select ancillae and elders for their potential to survive the machinations of their peers, as well as their abillity to overcome challenges that would destroy most of their kind. In essence, these chosen ones are the true elite among the night stalkers. You are among that elite. The Tremere Chantry invites you to come to Vienna and take part in the biggest struggle of Vampires ever: The Vampire The Eternal Struggle European Championships All the information you will need can be found on the following page http://www.angelfire.com/on3/vtes Yet if you heed my words, you may yet win yourself hope! Look well into this Pandora`s box, and you may yet find that which you seek. Alexander Woisetschläger Prince of Vienna [ quoted text not captured ]
